Your Apprenticeship at SPALECK
If you’re already a perfectionist in your free time, you can hone that skill to perfection with us. As a machining technician at SPALECK, you’ll work on state-of-the-art CNC machines and learn to manufacture components with precision down to one-hundredth of a millimeter.
As a machinist, you’ll manufacture high-precision metal components that form the core of complex machines. You’ll program our state-of-the-art CNC machines and oversee the entire manufacturing process, from the raw blank to the finished workpiece. Through continuous quality checks, you’ll ensure that every part fits with precision down to the hundredth of a millimeter.
Here’s what you can expect during your training
Precision is the foundation of your training as a machinist. To help you develop a real feel for the material, you’ll start in our in-house training workshop: Here, you’ll learn the basics—such as manual turning, milling, drilling, and filing —from the ground up. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll set your sights on the future: You’ll become familiar with our modern machinery and learn how to program and operate computer-controlled CNC machines for the production of our high-quality Precision parts.
If you combine manual dexterity with logical thinking and are fascinated by how a solid block of metal can be shaped into a perfect workpiece through precise programming, you’ll be a perfect fit for our team.
If you have any questions about jobs, training, internships or studies, our colleagues in Human Resources will be happy to help you.
Yes, absolutely! You don’t have to worry about expensive gear before you start with us. We’ll outfit you from head to toe.
We’ll provide you with your own work clothes—including high-quality safety shoes, well-fitting work pants, jackets, etc.
No. During your training, you’ll generally work with us during normal business hours.
It is important to us that you are able to focus fully on your training in the training workshop, at the company, and at the vocational school. In addition, the Youth Labor Protection Act applies to trainees under the age of 18, and this law already strictly regulates night work and shift work.
On which machines will I be trained?
With us, you won’t be learning on outdated equipment—instead, you’ll be working with the latest high-tech gear right from the start.
Your training begins in our in-house training workshop, where you’ll learn the basics of metalworking (such as manual turning and milling) from the ground up. After that, you’ll move on to the real heavy hitters: You’ll be trained on state-of-the-art, computer-controlled CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, and grinders.
