The purpose of an infeed hopper is to
of the material in the Recycling process.
In recycling, the recyclable material is processed for reuse. This involves a series of sequential process steps. For example, this includes classification and screening using a stationary screening machine or a mobile screening plant. NIR sorting and/or magnetic sorting can also be part of the Recycling process. The process begins with the feeding of the material.
Infeed hoppers are used for this purpose. They store the material. The material is loaded into the infeed hopper, for example, using a wheel loader. In addition to storing material, one of the infeed hopper’s main functions is to transfer the material to downstream machines. The goal is for the Infeed hopper to feed the material into the processing line in the desired quantity.
