First blood donation day at Spaleck
Over 80 employees take part in the “at work” fundraising campaign
“We are absolutely delighted with the great willingness of our team to donate,” says Christiane Büdding, employee and co-organizer of the first blood donation day at the Spaleck Family-owned business.
More than 80 of the approximately 220 employees accepted the invitation to donate blood “at work” on Wednesday. Under the motto “Donate blood – save lives”, anyone willing to donate was able to give blood during working hours at Spaleck’s own health center.
The fundraising campaign was initiated by the Spaleck Health Circle. Employees from various areas of the company are involved in this group and develop and organize campaigns for the entire workforce to improve employee health.
Christiane Büdding, member of the health circle: “We are particularly pleased that we were able to recruit numerous first-time donors for the donation campaign. We would like to say a big thank you to the DRK blood donation service from Münster for the opportunity to donate at our company. And of course the Bocholt DRK association for the great catering after the donation.” With this refreshment, all the donors were able to recharge their batteries and get back to work feeling invigorated. Matthias Ahlmer, one of the first-time donors: “From now on I will donate regularly. I never thought it would be so easy!”
